Colorado Springs

Took a trip to Colorado Springs to see two friends get married, and made a vacation out of it! Being from Illinois, land of the flat and home of the boring, I really enjoyed the trip and getting to take pictures of the mountains.
I was scared to drive to the top of Pike's Peak, but we did it anyways! Here are some of the results:

What beautiful views!
I think I was there. I got married in 1977 (not married anymore) and we drove up Rampart Range Road and I remember it looking just like these shots. Excellent work.
My favorite shots were when we climbed above the clouds on that road.

I'm going to Hawaii on Wednesday, but the next trip - must be - Colorado or a canyon somewhere!

Great shots from the Peak. Glad you had a nice day and good views. It's been pretty snowy lately.
