Went out today to try and find some wildlife. Usually, on any given day that I travel down the highway, I can spot a hawk every mile or so. Though, of course, the day I try to search one out....they're all gone.
So instead we get some fungus :-) Thought and thought to see if there was any way I could consider that "wildlife"....
and realized I should just post it here.

this is a gorgeous photo!! I understand the having the hawks disappear... I see red tail hawks all teh time ... until i have a camera right there ready to take one of their pics... I think its a hawk thing and being photoshy ;)
Di-why do they do that to us?? It really cracked me up. Especially cause every time I'm in the car w/my husband and we're driving and I see a hawk I say, "Step up buddy!" (which makes sense if you know I used to have birds) and the hawks ALWAYS turn to look at me weird as we drive by. Makes my hubby nuts, cause there's no way they could actually hear me say it :-) So I was really disappointed today about not seeing any.
Maybe if we look together you and I will find some :-)
this is a beautiful photo. I really like the shape of it with the mushroom just jutting into the middle of the shape, really catches the eye well.
So you go to look for candids of people and you find no people, you find wildlife.
You seek out wildlife and find mushrooms.
Seems you've got no manner of luck at all. ;-)
